What to expect
Beezee runs free healthy lifestyle programmes to help people build healthy habits that stick, in partnership with Healthy You and funded by Cambridgeshire County Council & Peterborough City Council. Their programmes use behavioural science to help people make small, realistic changes that make a big difference. They offer a safe, judgement-free space. They want to make learning about healthy eating and physical activity fun for everyone!
Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough they offer two free programmes:
Beezee Families is an award-winning programme for 4–12-year-olds and their families to help create healthier habits.
In-person sessions
- Families can join for two hours every week for 12 weeks
- 1 hour of guided learning from trained nutritionists to provide expert tips on health and well-being, plus lots of handouts and a healthy snack each week
- 1 hour of physical activity with a Specialist Sports Coach (Living Sport)
- An opportunity to make friends with other families, alongside getting extra support in a WhatsApp group
Online sessions
- Families can join for one hour every week for 10 weeks, plus get two check-in calls
- Perfect for learning from the comfort of your own home
- Tailored support is available for different age groups: 5-8-year-olds and 9-12-year-olds
- Families will get moving with online games and guided workouts
- Plus you can join the WhatsApp group for even more support
Beezee Youth is aimed at 13-17 years-olds. This programme was created with the help of young people. They can learn more about their physical, mental and social well-being.
Online group sessions
- Young people can join for one hour every week for 10 weeks
- They can learn from the comfort of home and not worry about getting to venues
- Topics that are covered include: Motivation, Relationships, Body Image, Self-Love and many more
- It’s a chance for young people to connect with like-minded people

Beezee Academy is available if a family or young person doesn’t feel quite ready to join one of the scheduled programmes, or do not meet the eligibility criteria. They can sign up to the Academy for free:
- Sign up for six months of self-directed online courses – you can learn at your own pace
- Access insights from the expert team who have helped thousands of families and young people
- The secrets to building healthy habits that last are just a few clicks away
- No calls or appointments to keep with the Academy – it’s been designed to fit around busy routines and schedules
Specialist 1:1 Support
- For those aged 4-17 years old with medical, emotional or behavioural issues
- Access expert support, including nutritionists, a family support worker and clinical psychologist
- Tailored support based on the person’s unique needs
National Child Measuring Programme (NCMP): in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, they offer healthy lifestyle support to families who receive a letter that their child’s weight is above the healthy range as part of the National Child Measuring Programme. All services are free subject to eligibility base on health and weight.
