Coneygear Centre Warmspace & Community Cafe

Back to Activities

The Coneygear Centre Community Café offers a welcoming drop-in space where local residents can enjoy affordable refreshments, meet others, and spend time in a relaxed and friendly environment.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Encourages social connection by providing a friendly, safe space to meet others and reduce isolation.
  • Supports mental wellbeing through relaxed activities such as crafts in winter and gardening in the summer months.
  • Promotes healthy routines by offering affordable breakfast options and a welcoming place to start the day.

What to expect

The Community Café runs as a drop-in session, so there is no need to register in advance. It is open Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:00 noon all year and Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00 noon during term time only.

Visitors can purchase low-cost breakfast items and enjoy hot drinks while socialising or relaxing. During the winter months, craft activities are available, while in the summer attendees can spend time in the community garden.

The library and internet suite are open at the same time as the café, allowing visitors to read, study, or access digital resources during their visit.

The venue is fully accessible and includes a hearing aid loop, a disabled toilet and a Changing Places toilet. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.
