At Grafham Water Centre, visitors can immerse themselves in an array of water-based activities. From kayaking and canoeing to sailing and windsurfing, the centre caters to both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts. Stand-up paddleboarding and raft building sessions add to the aquatic excitement, ensuring a comprehensive water sports experience.
For those who prefer staying on dry land, the centre offers a multitude of land-based activities. Participants can test their skills on high ropes courses, including the unique Triangle course, or engage in archery, climbing, and mountain biking. Bushcraft and orienteering sessions provide opportunities to connect with nature and develop survival skills.
Grafham Water Centre is an ideal destination for families seeking quality time together. Family courses are designed to include children aged 8 to 15, offering activities like paddlesports, sailing, climbing, and mountain biking.

All courses need to be booked in advance.
All necessary equipment is provided, so participants only need to bring appropriate clothing for the activities and weather conditions.
Accessibility is key, so that everyone can enjoy what is on offer at the centre, this includes:
- Ground floor accommodation; including a fully equipped specialised room with hoist from bedroom through to the en-suite bathroom. The bed, bath and sink are both able to be moved up and down
- Stair lifts are located at the bottom of each set of steps in the main building to enable a safe transfer to the dining room
- Disabled bathrooms located in every building with the sports hall toilet having a hoist system with bed and toilet
- Across the site there are minimal steps outside
- Automatic doors and ramp leading to reception
Some courses are available via the HAF programme during school holidays
