HALL is volunteer led and not for profit, set up in 2019 to encourage lifelong affordable learning. Meeting during term time, it holds 5 week courses and talks on a wide range of subjects with experienced tutors usually in Huntingdon Library and occasionally on Zoom
This activity is good for wellbeing because
The courses/talks/discussions held by the group help to keep participants mentally alert.
It provides a forum for people to engage with others. This is especially important for those living alone or having limited opportunities for social interaction and engaging with others.
The occasional use of online presentations particularly during the winter months enables people throughout the county to join in.
“I really enjoy the weekly sessions, they are always interesting and informative and it doesn’t matter what your education level is. It keeps your brain working and because I walk from home to the library it has helped my fitness generally”
