Moody Mondays

Back to Activities

Moody Mondays is a free community group which offers an inclusive and informal safe space to talk, connect with others and take time for yourself.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • you will connect with other members of your local community;
  • talking through difficulties you are experiencing will help you feel less alone;
  • you will be able to get therapeutic support and guidance.

“It has helped me to be more outgoing, and when I felt down it helped lift me out of my worse moods. It has also helped me access other support with my son doing different activities, e.g. going to the Zoo and Snack shack.”

What to expect?

Moody Mondays is a free, welcoming and inclusive group. Drop in for a hot drink and you can speak one-to-one with a professional or volunteer who will be able to offer support with any issues you are experiencing in your family. For example, relationship difficulties, anxiety, or dealing with challenging behaviour. The professional or volunteer will also be able to direct you to other people who can help.

There is no referral needed to attend the group and you don’t need to book ahead – just go along! Children are welcome to attend, and there will be toys for them to play with.

Moody Mondays is run by Cambridge Acorn Project together with local partners, including HCAP.
