Turn Acorns into Oaks - Structured activities for all ages and abilities from 2 year olds through to 104 years old! Catering for those with disabilities too. The aim is to help promote teamwork, fitness, co-ordination and wellbeing.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Supporting individuals not involved with mainstream education assists them in enhancing social interactions.
  • Seated exercise classes for over 50s supports physical health and wellbeing
  • Sports mentoring gives young people the opportunity to learn new life skills and support possible vocations.

What to expect

Oak Activities are proud to be an all inclusive sports group where they work together to challenge, inspire and motivate all children to become successful, confident and caring people in our diverse world now and in their future lives.

Weekly Children’s Activity Sessions

  • Sessions for various age groups with age appropriate activities, aimed at developing and improving skills.
  • 2 – 3 year olds focus on teamwork, communication and listening
  • 3 – 5 year olds focus on fitness, confidence and increased team working with peer’s
  • 5+ year olds focus on technique and teamwork

Seated/Low Impact Exercise

  • Low impact strength and fitness class – ideal for residents at care homes.
  • Seated strength and conditioning class, delivered by a level 2 qualified instructor – ideal as a referral after operation or for over 50’s wanting to get back into low impact fitness
  • Standing strength and balance exercise class, delivered by a level 3 qualified instructor – ideal as the next steps after the seated class
  • Unique seated dance and movement to music class specifically designed for residents in care homes and delivered by a trained instructor.

Sports camps

  • Multi Sport Camps combine lots of different sports and games to keep your child active during the holidays.
  • Camps are ideal if your child would like to try something different with a real mix of sporting activities and games on offer.

Alternative Education Provider

  • Oak Activities is a stage 4 Alternative Provider for Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Rutland and Bedfordshire. Supporting young people not accessing mainstream school, through academic, therapeutic and mentoring support.
  • Oak Activities staff have extensive knowledge in supporting children with SEMH needs and SEN, delivering a variety of activities within schools and off-site as required to KS1,2,3 and 4.
