Ramsey Rural Museum - Volunteers

Back to Activities

An independent museum set in a peaceful rural location on the edge of the market town of Ramsey in Cambridgeshire. Fascinating displays of historical objects, events, talks, kids' activities, the Ramsey area archives, home-made cakes and much, much more.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Meet new people, make friends, and enjoy being part of a welcoming, community-minded team.
  • Spend time in the peaceful gardens and countryside surroundings, great for reducing stress and feeling calm.
  • Make a difference by helping to preserve local history and sharing it with others.

What to expect

The museum is run entirely by volunteers, with an age range of current volunteers from 20-90. They have a wide variety of both opportunities and time commitments.

From just helping at the event days, to people who live and breathe the museum, there is something for everyone. They have a volunteer day every Thursday, so do pop in and have a chat to see what you are able to do.

For certain roles, full training is provided.
