The Attic – Affordable Living by Diamond Hampers CIC

Back to Activities

The Attic provides affordable living items, from furniture to pots and pans, clothing, videos, and much more. It is run by Diamond Hampers, a trusted organisation that provides food support to the local community.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • By volunteering with The Attic/Diamond Hampers, you are helping to reduce surplus waste. Also, volunteering helps with confidence and sense of purpose.
  • By purchasing from The Attic, you are helping by funding food redistribution to those who may otherwise go hungry; this helps both society and the environment
  • By buying food through Diamond Hamper's affordable food pantry or items through The Attic, you are giving back to locals and the environment.
'Diamond Hampers have a passion for reducing waste and set about rescuing food from heading to landfill and filling empty stomachs instead and making life more affordable.'

The Attic sells all sorts of used items for the home at affordable prices. These can include clothing, cookware, kitchenware, hobbies/crafts, books, small electronics, and even white goods.

It is run by Diamond Hampers, which aims to help in the fight against food poverty and remove the stigma attached to requesting help. They ensure they work with people to develop the skills and tools required to support them into the future.
