The Sound Eye offers Sound Therapy Sessions that are accessible for all, using a combination of sound therapy, mindfulness exercises, meditation, and yoga for maximum benefits.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- sound therapy can benefit nervous system regulation through deep relaxation, helping to decrease stress and anxiety,
- it can help promote good sleep, which is essential for physical and mental health,
- it can help enhance mental focus and clarity by helping to clear mental clutter and promoting a meditative state.
"Before I went I had no idea how much I needed it, and I was expecting to be fidgety all hour. But not only did I manage to relax, I reconnected with my body and listened to what it needed. Cara is incredibly welcoming and flexible and is happy for you to do what your body needs, even if that means lying in child's pose for the whole session."

What to expect
The Sound Eye offers traditional adult-only sound therapy sessions, plus relaxed and child-friendly sessions, baby sound sessions, and private sessions for events or small groups. There is a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity. Each session is designed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported, with chairs, traditional mats, and fidget toys available as needed.
Sessions last around one hour. This includes time at the beginning to settle in, often followed by a short guided meditation. The main part of the session involves 30–40 minutes of crystal bowl sound therapy, allowing the vibrations to support deep relaxation. Time is also set aside at the end for questions, reflection, and a gentle transition out of the session.
Sound therapy is suitable for people of all ages and abilities and requires no prior experience or special skills. It can be particularly beneficial for children experiencing anxiety, ADHD, or stress. As a former primary school teacher, Cara is well placed to offer sessions that are flexible, understanding, and adapted to individual needs, ensuring no one is excluded.
Sound therapy is more than an auditory experience. It is widely known for reducing stress and supporting improved sleep quality. The meditative state it encourages can enhance mental clarity and focus, while the vibrations promote physical relaxation and may help ease muscle tension, headaches, and chronic pain. Used for centuries in Eastern healing traditions, sound therapy has also supported chakra balancing, meridian clearing, and deeper inner healing.
