Thrive Youth Work – Huntingdon Youth Café

Back to Activities

Thrive aims to see the lives of young people transformed. Their open access Youth Cafés are safe spaces for young people to socialise after school, engage in fun activities, access pastoral support, and connect with local youth workers.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It provides a safe space for young people to socialise
  • It provides opportunities for young people to access support from local youth workers
  • It’s a safe and fun place to be!

“Thrive has helped my anxiety around socialising with new people, which isn’t as scary as I thought it was… It has helped me to speak out and get over my problems talking to new people.”

What to expect

The youth cafés are open access, which means you can just turn up! The Youth Cafes run during school term time, and are open as follows:

Mondays 3.30 – 5.30
Fridays 3.30 – 5.00

When you arrive, one of the team will come and say hello. You have to be in secondary school or college to be able to attend.

The church building that the programmes are in are accessible to wheelchair users.

More information

Thrive is a Christian youth project. They do this by partnering with churches, schools and communities to offer programmes that support the emotional, social and spiritual growth of young people.

All of the youth café services are free to attend

They may run additional activities in the summer and school holidays (e.g. bowling, laser quest etc) that may require a small cost to attend.
