Warboys and District Day Centre

Back to Activities

Warboys & District Day Centre is a registered charity with the aim of supporting older people in the community, based on individuals' needs, through social activity & a change of scene. They meet twice a week & provide transport, a hot lunch & a range of activities.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Activities such as quizzes, crafts and games are good for mind and body as well as making for a lot of fun and laughter!
  • The Day Centre provides an opportunity to meet others and make friends, enjoy chat and laughter, and feel part of a group.
  • Enjoying the entertainment provided and activities, and the friendship of the other members and volunteers, is great way of remaining connected to your community and combatting feelings of loneliness and isolation.

‘I enjoy the friendship and laughter at the Day Centre – especially after a weekend spent alone.’
‘The Day Centre keeps my brain ticking over!’

What to expect?
