Lifecraft

Back to Support

Lifecraft is a user-led organisation for adults in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who have experience of mental health difficulties. It offers a wide range of free mental health services to help and support members in their wellbeing and recovery.

What to expect

Lifecraft believes people who have experienced mental health difficulties are best placed to help others in the same position. Therefore all of their services are user-led and are designed to promote recovery and empowerment.

They run a wide range of groups and activities in Cambridge and Ely each week, which provide an opportunity to have fun, connect with others, build confidence and learn new skills. They are safe spaces where you can be honest about your struggles and know you won’t be judged. There are crafting and art groups, a lego group, and a social hub where you can drop in to meet new people, play games and eat biscuits! There is a resilience group, to explore everyday challenges and learn coping strategies by supporting each other and sharing what helps. There is also a mindfulness group which explores a variety of mindfulness techniques that you can use every day.

Lifecraft also offers counselling and coaching, and provides support around work and wellbeing.

Lifecraft also run Lifeline - a free, confidential anonymous crisis and support helpline for people aged 17 or older living in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough. Calls are free from mobiles, landlines and callboxes. Phonelines are open every day of the year from 11am – 11pm. Call 0808 808 2121.

They offer suicide bereavement support service to people who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suspected suicide.
