Stroke Support Group at Chase Care home

What to expect

The Stroke Support Group is a relaxed Coffee & Cake session held in the bistro at Chase Care Home. It’s a friendly space where people come together to chat about anything they like — from everyday conversation to sharing experiences of stroke, if and when they feel comfortable doing so.

Anyone attending for the first time will be welcomed with open arms. You’re invited to introduce yourself to the group and take part as much or as little as you wish. On arrival, your first point of contact will be reception, where either Jackie or Lisa will greet you, offer you a drink, and make sure you’re shown in the right direction.

The group includes a mix of members of the local community and residents of the care home, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. There’s no need to book or register in advance — just turn up. Everyone is welcome, and you’re welcome to bring a carer, friend, family member, or anyone who may be interested.

There is no eligibility criteria to attend.

There is parking on site in their car park to the rear of the property as well as toilets suitable for everyone.

The location is fully accessible.

Refreshments are provided and there is no need to bring your own.

Pushchairs and well behaved dogs welcome.

The whole session is free to join and refreshments are also free.
